I have been writing poetry since I was a teenager, more years than I care to think about, and publishing poetry in literary journals for many years. I grew up in Pittsfield, in the heart of the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. After a stint in the U.S. Navy, and an Associates Degree from Berkshire Community College, I moved to Illinois. I am a graduate of the University of Illinois (BA, English Literature; MA English/Education). After a long career in non-profit public relations, I now devote myself to raising my grandchildren (now my adopted children), and writing poetry and fiction. My first book of poetry, Outside the Frame, was published by The Crossroads Company in March 2008. You can purchase a copy online at Amazon.com, or directly from me.
